During the entire Festive Season of 2025 Mangaung Metro’s Traffic Officers (Public Safety and Transport) continued their operations effectively in Bloemfontein, Botshabelo and Thaba-Nchu.
MMC for Public Safety and Transport Cllr. Logan Kruger and HOD Israel Kgamanyane said with traffic laws in place, there is an immense importance for road safety in the city.
One of the primary factors is reducing the number of road accidents in following traffic laws and regulations. As a society, we need to be aware of the significance of these regulations and make them an even more integral part of our lives.
“Traffic laws are designed to help drivers stay safe on the roads. This is especially important in Mangaung due to the increasing population and congested traffic and high speed limits. Following traffic laws prevents collisions, reduces the risk of personal injury, and helps drivers regulate their speed and movement. By following traffic regulations, individuals can easily prevent dangerous or difficult situations on the road and keep themselves, their passengers, and other drivers safe”, said HOD Kgamanyane.
