‘MMM Public Safety & Transport Law & Order Enforcement Continues’

On Wednesday 20 August, 2025 Mangaung Metro’s Public Safety and Transport conducted a zero Tolerance to lawlessness in Botshabelo as part of the City’s ongoing campaign to restore law and order in Mangaung.

MMC for Public Safety and Transport Cllr. Sibongile Tsoleli and Head of Department Israel Kgamanyane said the safety and law remain a key priority for Mangaung, and brings confidence to other commuters on the roads.

“It is the responsibility of the Municipality and all its law enforcement officers, to consistently bring order into the City, and today the Municipality managed to seize some vehicles with the new automated system recently launched by the Public Safety and Transport”, said Tsoleli.

Additionally, Law enforcement officers continued with the compliance campaign in Botshabelo CBD, where Illegal and expired goods were seized. MMC Tsoleli advised community members to constantly check expiry dates, especially on meat and dairy products . “We would like to put emphasis to our citizens that it is important for them to respect the by-laws of the City”. concluded Tsoleli.
