‘Deputy Minister in the Presidency Morolong and Khedama Unveil Digitized Studios at Qwaqwa Radio’

The Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) led by Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Mr Kenny Morolong (MP) alongside the MDDA board and Mangaung Metro’s General Manager (GM) for Communications, Mr Qondile Khedama unveiled state-of-the art digitized studios at Qwaqwa Radio in Phuthaditjhaba, Free State.
“This Investment represents more than just new equipment, it is the commitment to strengthening the role of community media in fostering access to information, preserving local languages, and empowering the voices of ordinary South Africans”, said the Deputy Minister in Presidency.
By embracing digital technology, Qwaqwa Radio is now better positioned to deliver high-quality programming, connect with younger audiences and continue being a trusted source of news, culture, and education in the Free State.
The MDDA remains steadfast in its mission to transform the media landscape by supporting community and commercial media across the country. The launch of these studios is another milestone in ensuring that no voice is left unheard in our democracy.
